Friend from Europe
A friend from Europe came for a short holiday in Canada.
He decided to spend most of the holiday in the Canadian Rockies and British Columbia, and a few days in Toronto.
I phoned him the day before he was to return to Europe, and asked him if he enjoyed his trip, and what were his impressions of the country.
He replied he had thoroughly enjoyed Western Canada and surprised by the Asian dominance of parts of British Columbia.
His time in Toronto he described as knowing what it was like to live in a multi-racial mental asylum.
I was about to counter with a reference to his European situation, when he stated,
“In Europe we live in, almost, the same insanity and like you we don’t want to admit to it.”
