When a Canadian minister has dual citizenship there is a definite conflict of interest in any of his activities and decisions.
This is a basic conflict of interest during normal activities but when a person of dual nationality becomes a Canadian minister it raises the question of National Identity.
“Which nationality is being used at what time and which countries interests are being reflected?”
To resolve this situation it would be sensible and prudent not to appoint anyone of dual nationality to any Government position.
Would we not feel more secure and have more trust in our government officials?
